REP. GREG STEUBE ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR RE-ELECTION TO FLORIDA’S 17th DISTRICT
New District 17 map retains vast majority of Steube’s district; includes Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee counties

SARASOTA, Fla. – U.S. Representative Greg Steube today announced his candidacy to continue representing Florida’s 17th District in Congress.
“Florida’s 17th district deserves an America First conservative who will fight for freedom and liberty, and I have a proven track record of doing exactly that in service to this district and our country,” said U.S. Representative Greg Steube. “I am honored to seek re-election once again in District 17, and I applaud Governor DeSantis for his leadership during the redistricting process.”
Over 60% of Rep. Steube’s current voters are retained in the newly drawn 17th District, where he would continue serving Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee counties. Since Rep. Steube’s first campaign for Florida’s 17th District in 2018, he has been endorsed and supported by numerous conservative organizations like the National Rifle Association, National Right to Life, Family Research Council, and Club for Growth, who yesterday endorsed him again for 2022 in District 17.
“The Floridians of District 17 know they can trust me to remain a steadfast, principled conservative who delivers on his promises and does not shy away from doing what is right,” Congressman Steube said. “I will continue to fight against socialism and the Left’s radical woke agenda, and I will always stand up for free and fair elections, a secured southern border, economic freedom, and the preservation of our Constitutional rights.”
As a veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Rep. Steube’s conservative credentials have also led to multiple A+ ratings from various Pro-2nd Amendment, Pro-Life, and Anti-Illegal Immigration groups throughout his two terms in Congress, including a 98.28 rating from the American Conservative Union, making him the most conservative Member of Congress in Florida.
“We need strong conservatives in Congress so we can reclaim the gavel from Speaker Pelosi, reverse the damage Joe Biden and House Democrats have done to our country, and implement bold conservative policy in Washington,” said Congressman Steube.
During his time in Congress, Rep. Steube has consistently voted to uphold election integrity and has notably stood up to the Left’s multiple sham impeachments of Donald Trump as of member of the House Judiciary Committee.
