Commissioner of Agriculture Charlie Bronson Endorses Greg Steube for State Representative

Thursday, Dec 17th 2009
Sarasota, FL

"I am pleased today to announce my endorsement of Greg Steube for State Representative, District 67. At an early age Greg was involved in the agriculture industry by becoming active in both 4-H and FFA. After working on cattle ranches he decided to pursue a degree in Agriculture at the University of Florida, majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Law. Greg has an extensive background in production agriculture, and it is important for our State Representatives to have an understanding of the agriculture industry here in Florida. We need more Representatives who have a background in agriculture and who realize its vital importance to our economy," Commissioner Charlie Bronson noted in his endorsement.

Charlie Bronson is the Commissioner of Agriculture and serves on the Florida Cabinet.

"I hope everyone will join me in supporting Greg Steube. Not only is his background in Agriculture impressive, but his service to our country and political experience makes him well suited to serve his community" Commissioner Bronson said.

"I am pleased and humbled to receive the support of Commissioner Bronson. It is very special to me to have the support of our State's leader in agriculture as Florida's economy is largely driven by agriculture. Commissioner Bronson has successfully promoted Florida's agriculture and I'm proud to have him as a supporter of my campaign," Greg Steube said.

Greg Steube has attracted a team of the top advisers and supporters in the area including State Representative Ron Reagan, the incumbent Representative, who has endorsed Steube's candidacy to replace him. In addition, Congressman Vern Buchanan, State Senator Michael Bennett, State Representative Bill Galvano, former Senators Pat Neal and John McKay, Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee, Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight, Manatee County Sheriff Brad Steube, and former Manatee County Sheriff Charlie Wells, Public Defender Larry Eger, County Commissioner Donna Hayes, Bradenton City Mayor Wayne Poston, and many more have all endorsed Steube's candidacy and agreed to be part of his team.
